Gardening has always played a role in my life. As a little girl, I would watch my grandmother, Mama T, grow vegetables in her yard and we enjoyed the fruits of her labor. My mom and neighbors had gardens allowing us to swap greens and tomatoes for green beans! My fondest memories include helping them water the gardens and harvesting peaches. Eventually, these items would appear on our table! It was exciting to see peaches become jam and ice cream or the collard greens planted during the summer as part of Thanksgiving dinner. Early on my ancestors planted a seed that manifested into a desire not only to grow my garden but to help others create and maintain gardens! As the owner and CEO of Sow+Reap Gardens, I will coach and guide you in sowing and reaping a beautiful kitchen garden!
